Below is an Archive of past organisations that have been established or supported by One Thoresby Street.  These organisations have grown out of a shared economy of knowledge that has been shaped by the artists and practitioners who have been part of our organisation.

These projects have become essential to the shaping of our identity since 2004.


OR A HEAD TRIP IN A COOK-UP. A LUMP. forms an inaugural publication project from Porlock Press, presenting an illustrated reworking of the Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem Kubla Khan.

LAUNCH: Thursday 20th October 6.30 – 9pm
SHOW RUNS: 21st – 23rd October
GALLERY OPEN: Friday & Saturday 10am – 6pm // Sunday 11am – 4pm

The opening event will also feature a special live musical performance for santoor (Indian dulcimer) and tabla.

Widely regarded as a cornerstone of Romanticism in English poetry, Coleridge’s opium induced tale of a dream-vision of Xanadu has been processed and edited into a surreal text based work which selected artists and illustrators have used as a starting point to generate new visual material.

To celebrate the release of OR A HEAD TRIP IN A COOK-UP. A LUMP. Porlock Press and One Thoresby Street present a gallery exhibition of works featured in the publication.

Copies of the publication will be available to purchase at the opening event on Thursday 20th October and throughout the duration of the exhibition.
