Seungjo Jeong: End of Year Residency Exhibition

Seungjo Jeong was the recipient of the New Contemporaries Studio Bursary Award in 2017, providing him a studio at One Thoresby Street for 1 year. His end of residency exhibition presented a body of new site-specific paintings, along with the screening of his animated short ‘Stairs’ on the Attic wall on the opening night.

OR A HEAD TRIP IN A COOK-UP. A LUMP. is an illustrated reworking of the Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem Kubla Khan. It is the name of the inaugural publication project from Porlock Press. To celebrate the release of OR A HEAD TRIP IN A COOK-UP. A LUMP. Porlock Press and One Thoresby Street present a gallery exhibition of works featured in the publication.

One Thoresby Street have been offering an award for the Nottingham Castle Open since 2012. Adam Grüning was our selected artist from the Nottingham Castle Open in 2014.

With 2015 marking 15 years of Bloomberg’s sponsorship of New Contemporaries, One Thoresby Street are proud to be a key partner in the delivery of Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2015, hosted by The New Midland Group in Nottingham across artist-led spaces Backlit, One Thoresby Street and Primary.
